Jezrael Hood was born August 15 1983; the last of six children to Ed & Gladys Hood. He was brought up on the Westside of Charlotte NC in a neighborhood called Clanton Park. During an eventful childhood he began to grow fond of music using it to express his feelings about all the activities that surrounded him.
Influenced by his older brother V who signed to a local label in Charlotte known as Liquor House Records, J-Rhel at age nine began to work on his lyrical talents so that he can join in on freestyle sessions his brothers and friends would have, but it wasn’t until the tragic lost of his oldest brother Gary to AIDS that brought out emotions which made him write and record his first song. Growing up in a house hold full of athletic superstars J-Rhel first love was sports, Music was just a way of expression. Being a superstar athlete was his motivation, to live up to a last name that rung bells around the city. After graduating from high school in 2001 he was offered a scholarship to play football in college, but due to a few altercations in school he had to leave in 2003.
To avoid embarrassment and the feelings of letting his family down J-Rhel made the necessary moves to avoid the label of a failure. In 2004 he got into school in Decatur GA, not knowing that his love for music would replace sports as his motivation. One day in class he began beating on the desk and reciting lyrics as he always did when he ever caught the feeling for music and a classmate started paying more attention to the words he was saying. After class the classmate approached him and asked if he was into music, things began to move fast. First J was introduced to Damien “No Luv” Ethrige who introduced him to Michael “Supasize” Friar an ex NFL football player who began a local label around Atlanta GA called Supasize Records. When they heard his material and seen his work ethic the label began putting all there focus on J. Recording over one hundred songs and two mix tapes in between time doing shows in the Atlanta GA surrounding areas and traveling back home to do shows in Charlotte NC, opening up for major artist in the southern region. In 2006 He linked up with a young up and coming producer known as Kamal (The Element) creating a universal sound that appealed to all genres of music.
J-Rhel released his first Album called “You Know My Name” under Supasize records with familiar songs like “The City” and “Check out cha boy” the album was destined to put him in position to be called competition, but due to poor promotion and lack of experience “You Know My Name” went under the radar and never really got heard. Afterward J-Rhel regrouped moving back to Charlotte NC to get back to his roots, staying in contact with producer Kamal J-Rhel found his true identity as an artist and the two are back in the studio working on the highly anticipated LP “The Hoods Son”

EXCLUSIVE: New sexy single EXCESS VIBRATION with DJ NUMBAWUN !!!
Christelle’s Debut EP album broke the top 40 R&B/hip hop albums on Billboard May 9, 2009 and has remained there today. Her single with Dizzy D, “What you gon’ do wit it” was #1 top 10 Hot R&B/hip hop singles sales on May 23, 2009.
This Las Vegas based, nineteen-year-old Pop/R&B artist has taken on countless challenges in her young life and career, and has successfully met every single one. Her hot new songs herald the arrival of this very special young artist. Her music will “move your body and put a smile on your face”.
Born in Gabon, West Africa, Christelle grew up listening to French, African and American music, but the music that struck a chord in her was the American R&B and Hip-Hop of artists like Beyonce, Ashanti, Brandy, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Mariah Carey. As Christelle recalls, “Even though I could not understand the lyrics back then, no other music made me feel as good.”
Arriving in Las Vegas in 2006, she immediately faced an enormous challenge – the language barrier. She explains, “It was a very difficult transition. It was horrible to not be able to communicate with people. I gained a tremendous amount of respect for the millions of immigrants that make up so much of America.”
Determined to learn English as soon as possible, Christelle enrolled in an intensive English school, graduating in December of 2007, qualifying her for the university system. Finding herself even more inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of some of her favorite R&B and Rap stars, she enrolled into fashion design school, looking to create her own clothing line, in conjunction with her music.
Christelle is adding a more urban, pop and R&B flavor to her music, as she plans for her breakout year of 2009. “I loved recording the songs I did this year and seeing them grow,” she says with a smile. “I know I have come a long way, but I am going to go much further this year.” She’s excited to hear her music on the radio and is looking forward to touring, and as she says, “I just hope to give back the good feelings I felt when I was in Africa, listening to American music.”
